Position Title: L2 Engineer /Switching & Routing

Department: IT/Network Operations
Job Summary

The L2 Engineer Switching & Routing acts as the intermediate support and focus on troubleshooting complex, escalated network incidents, implementing configurations, and ensuring high network availability.

Key Responsibilities

Network Troubleshooting & Support: Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex, escalated network outages.
Configuration & Implementation:Configure, upgrade, and install network devices (routers, switches, access points) and maintain network security, including firewall policies.
Performance Monitoring & Maintenance:Proactively monitor network performance using tools perform capacity planning and apply system updates.
Documentation & Escalation:Document network configurations, incident resolution procedures, and escalate unresolved, critical issues to L3 support.
Security & Compliance:Implement security tools and policies to protect the network infrastructure.
Collaboration & Training:Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor L1 engineers.
Hands on Technical Expertise: SDWAN, Firewall, Wi-Fi Solutions.

Education – Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience with Cisco, Meraki, FortiGate or similar, and next-gen firewalls.
Experience

6- 12 years of experience in network engineering or IT support roles.

Hands-on experience with SD-WAN solutions and Wifi Solutions.

Proven expertise in troubleshooting and resolving L2/L3 issues.
